Nocturne "The Curious Fox Cub" for Woodwind Doubler and Piano
A nocturne for woodwind doubler (Flute, Alto Saxophone & B-flat Clarinet) with piano accompaniment. Duration approximately 5’30”.
Reed part and piano accompaniment PDFs are provided.
With influences of Debussy and Ravel, this is a fairly simple piece inspired by the night-time exploits of an urban fox cub in my garden. Whilst offering some interesting metrical changes and syncopations, the focus is predominantly on quality of tone, particularly in the lower registers of the saxophone and clarinet.
